Children

God's Word reminds us that children are a gift from the Lord (Psalm 127:3). This God-given trust is of vital importance to all of us at Filipino Bible Church. It is our goal to provide a comprehensive ministry to children.

Goals of the Children's Church Ministry:

That each child come to know Jesus Christ as Saviour
That each child grow to love God's Word
That each child desire to pray for others and for one another in the class
That each child desire to give to Lord's work
That each child exhibit God’s character in their daily lives

Nursery

The volunteer nursery staffs provide safe, gentle care while taking advantage of the opportunity to teach babies and toddlers through associations and feelings that later develop into concepts and attitudes about God. They are introduced to simple songs and Bible stories.

When a child is a regular attender, the parents will be asked to serve on the nursery team once a month. They join other volunteers, and the nursery coordinators who provide a wonderful first-church experience for these precious little ones.

Pre-Kindergarten Through Second Grade

Research indicates that by the time children are ready for kindergarten their basic attitudes and habits are formed for life. Therefore, we take our ministry to two, three, four and five year olds very seriously.

We believe in building a solid spiritual foundation through songs, stories, and a variety of learning experiences. Our goal with our children is to help them know our Lord Jesus Christ and to learn how to apply God's Word to their daily lives.

Third Through Fifth Grade Class

On Sunday mornings our curriculum explores studies in both the Old Testament and New Testament using the Faith Weaver curriculum.

Vacation Bible School

Vacation Bible School is a high point of the summer for elementary age children, ages 4-12. VBS meets evenings for one action-packed week. Volunteers provide Bible lessons, skits, music, snacks, crafts, recreation and missions for the enthusiastic children who attend.

Vacation Bible School is a place where your children can have great time learning about God's love! It's a fun, one-week long summer activities packed with energy and excitement as your kids learn a new lesson every day about God's greatness. VBS is an event your kids can look forward to every summer!

Children's Choir

The Children's Church choir performs periodically throughout the year. They participate in Christmas and Easter musical programs and do special songs in Sunday morning worship services from time to time.

We have excellent, committed teachers, and assistants for each of these age groups and the students really enjoy the meetings while they learn lessons that will guide them throughout their lives. We do everything we can to make sure that our children's programs are completely safe for your children, while providing an atmosphere that they can enjoy. So bring your kids to church, and let us help you train them for God's purposes.
