Our Senior Pastor
Valentino P. Natcher
Valentino P. Natcher has faithfully served as the Senior Pastor of Filipino Bible Church in Anchorage, Alaska since 2012. With a deep love for the Lord and a heart for shepherding God’s people, Pastor Valentino is committed to preaching the Word of God, discipling believers, and equipping the church to live out the Gospel in their daily lives. His ministry is centered on helping people grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ and encouraging the church to faithfully serve both the local community and the world through evangelism and missions.
Before coming to Alaska, Pastor Valentino served for many years in Manila, Philippines, where he was actively involved in pastoral ministry and leadership development. He served as Associate Pastor of Emmanuel Church Ministries International from 1991 to 1996, assisting in shepherding and ministry leadership. He later became Senior Pastor of Emmanuel Church Ministries International from 1997 to 2012, overseeing a growing Baptist church of approximately 400 members in an urban setting. During this time, he provided spiritual leadership, developed ministries, and helped strengthen the church’s commitment to discipleship and outreach.
Pastor Valentino’s ministry journey began earlier as a Church Elder and Pastoral Trainee at Community Baptist Church of Las Piñas from 1988 to 1990, where he developed a strong foundation in biblical teaching and pastoral care. Over the years, God has used him in various areas of ministry including teaching, leadership development, and mentoring young leaders.
In addition to his pastoral ministry, Pastor Valentino has also been involved in theological education and leadership training. He served as a teacher and advisory board member for the Asian Center for Missions in Makati from 2002 to 2010, helping train and equip individuals for cross-cultural ministry and missions work. He has also participated in numerous international ministry conferences and leadership seminars focused on church growth, discipleship, and leadership development.
Pastor Valentino holds a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min.) from Southeastern Baptist Theological Seminary in Wake Forest, North Carolina, where his ministry project focused on developing effective youth ministry strategies. He also earned a Master of Divinity (M.Div.) from Asian Theological Seminary in Quezon City, Philippines.
Before entering full-time pastoral ministry, Pastor Valentino pursued a career in education. He earned a Bachelor of Science in Civil and Sanitary Engineering and served as a professor in the Department of Physics and Engineering, teaching at institutions such as Mapua Institute of Technology and the University of Perpetual Help System in Manila. His academic background has contributed to his thoughtful and structured approach to teaching and leadership.
Pastor Valentino was born in Manila, Philippines on February 13, 1964. He is married to Dinna Valdez, who faithfully supports and partners with him in ministry. Together they are blessed with three children: Priscilla Louise, Paul Nathan, and Paul James.
Pastor Valentino continues to serve with a passion to glorify God, strengthen the church, disciple believers, and proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ both locally and globally.
