REFUGE MINISTRIES
The Filipino Bible Church Youth Group (REFUGE) was built out of a desire to see young people grow in their knowledge and love of God. REFUGE is committed to reaching teens for Jesus Christ through relevant Biblical teaching, challenging ministry opportunities, and a fun, exciting environment.
We come together to talk about real and relevant issues that teens face today. REFUGE is a place where students can hang out together, ask honest questions, and receive real answers grounded in God’s Word. Through weekly Bible studies, small group gatherings, large group teaching, and countless events, we seek to prepare our students to face the challenges and obstacles they may encounter in life with faith, wisdom, and confidence in Christ.
The name REFUGE represents the heart and mission of our youth ministry:
R — Redeemed
Through Jesus Christ we are redeemed and made new. Students are reminded that no matter their past, Christ offers forgiveness, grace, and a new identity in Him.
E — Example
We encourage students to live as examples of Christ’s love and character, reflecting Him in their words, actions, and attitudes.
F — Free
In Christ we are set free from sin, shame, and fear. We help students discover the true freedom that comes from a relationship with Jesus.
U — Unashamed
We boldly stand for our faith and are not ashamed of the Gospel. Students are encouraged to live confidently in their faith and share it with others.
G — Growing
Faith is a lifelong journey. Through studying Scripture, prayer, worship, and fellowship, students are encouraged to continually grow in their relationship with God.
E — Evangelizing
Jesus calls us to share the Good News. Our goal is to equip and encourage students to share the love of Christ with their friends, families, and community.
At REFUGE, our desire is to create a welcoming place where students can belong, grow spiritually, and develop a strong foundation of faith that will guide them throughout their lives.
Our Youth Pastor
William Graham
Pastor William Graham was born and raised in San Diego, California, where he developed a deep passion for ministry and serving others. He earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Biblical Studies with an emphasis in Youth Ministry from San Diego Christian College. From early on, Pastor Will felt called to invest in the next generation and help young people grow in their faith and relationship with Jesus Christ.
Pastor Will has over 16 years of experience teaching and leading in youth ministry. Throughout those years, he has had the privilege of discipling students, teaching God’s Word, and helping young people navigate life with a strong biblical foundation.
He also spent 11 years serving with Rock-N-Water, a youth adventure camp that combines outdoor experiences with faith development, leadership, and personal growth. In addition, Pastor Will served 7 years with Refuge and 4 years at Birchwood Behavioral Health as a Treatment Counselor, where he worked closely with youth and families, providing guidance, mentorship, and support during challenging seasons of life.
Pastor Will has a heart for building relationships, encouraging others in their faith, and sharing the hope of the Gospel. He loves helping people grow spiritually and discovering how God can work in their lives.
Pastor Will is married to his wife, Kristal Graham, and together they have two beautiful daughters, Laynee and Grace. Their family enjoys spending time together and being part of the church community.
Outside of ministry, Pastor Will enjoys spending time outdoors and staying active. His hobbies include ultimate frisbee, running, disc golf, hunting, fishing, hiking, climbing, rafting, and playing guitar and drums. He also enjoys a good bowl of ice cream and, most of all, talking about Jesus.

Youth Group meets every Thursday night
from 6:30-8:30PM

6th through 12th grade are welcome
